About · A studio in Mumbai

We're a small studio that builds
boring, useful software for small teams in India.

Deliberately small. Deliberately unfashionable. The kind of shop where the person who writes your code is the person who picks up the phone at 9am on a Tuesday when something breaks.

§ 01 What we believe

01

Software is infrastructure, not a product launch.

The best software fades into the background. Your team uses it on Monday morning without thinking about it, the same way they use the electric kettle. We build for that kind of boring reliability.

02

Small teams deserve serious tools.

The assumption that enterprise SaaS is 'serious' and local-build is 'jugaad' is wrong. A purpose-built workflow with proper hosting, backups, monitoring, and a real engineer on call is more serious than a generic SaaS you use 20% of.

03

Craft matters more than velocity.

We'd rather ship less code that works for five years than more code that needs rebuilding in eighteen months. The tax of fast-and-wrong compounds; the dividend of slow-and-right does too.

04

The same people should build and run it.

Handing a system to a 'support pod' after go-live is how every enterprise project we've seen deteriorates. We refuse the handoff. The engineer who wrote your module is the engineer you call.

§ 02 What we won't do

Five habits we've decided cost more than they earn.

Most of these are standard industry practice. We don't do them because we can't do them without compromising the first four beliefs.

  • × Take on more clients than we can personally service.
  • × Subcontract to faceless agencies in a third city.
  • × Bill hourly, ever, for anything.
  • × Sign a contract with penalty clauses for exit.
  • × Pitch with AI buzzwords to inflate the scope.

§ 03 The colophon

Essentials on one page.

If you skim websites, skim this. It has most of what a procurement person actually wants to know.
